The Church's Regular Schedule of Services and Programs

Divine Liturgy is celebrated on Sundays at 10:00 A.M., preceded by Confession and Absolution at 9:30. From the second Sunday in June through the Sunday after Labor Day, Liturgy is celebrated at 9:30 A.M. During the summer months, Liturgy is held in the first-floor, air-conditioned Church Hall. Liturgy is in English.

Social Hour
After the Sunday services, a social hour is held in the Church Hall for parishioners, their guests, and visitors, for fellowship in the friendly Orthodox way.

Sunday School for children and youth, in general three years of age through the eleventh grade, begins at 10:00 A.M. For more information about the program, please see the Sunday School section of our site.

Matins are held on Tuesday mornings at 10 AM.

Holy Unction is held the 1st Sunday of every month, following Divine Liturgy.

Second Sunday, an adult education program focusing on the meanings and traditions inherent in Orthodox belief and practice, is held every month following Divine Liturgy.

Parastas (memorial service for the departed) is held the 3rd Sunday every month, following Divine Liturgy.

The 49er's Club, for persons of age 49 and over, is an autonomous group that meets at Saint Michael's Church every 3rd Tuesday, 11:30 A.M., September through June, for fellowship, informative presentations, and lunch.

An Annual Special Event
Saint Michael's Russian Festival, a popular and festive event, held during the first full weekend of October (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), features the range of Russian food delights for lunch through dinner, live accordion music, the Sunday School's Russian Dancers, and specialty shops for Russian-made artifacts, books of interest, handmade decorations, chance-drawing opportunities, and a variety of collectibles and treasures for recycling for further enjoyment.
